5 of the best places in the South of England

There is lots to see and do in London and the South of England, whether it is a day trip to Brighton or sightseeing in the city center of London. Train travel is great for getting about and seeing what London and surrounding areas have to offer. There are plenty of popular train routes you can check out to see some of the best sights of the South of England. 

London  

London is the heart of the South of England and one of the best places to visit if you’re after a fun city break. The area of London is so diverse and rich with culture. You should check out the areas of Camden, Covent Garden, Greenwich, and the great markets of London. Borough Market is one of the oldest food markets in the entire city. There are of course all the great touristy places like Piccadilly Circus, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, etc. There is always somewhere to visit or go in London.  

Brighton 

Located only an hour away from London. Brighton Is a lively and bright city in England. Perfect if you want to experience the culture, great food and of course the seaside. Whilst there you should check out the Brighton palace Pier, and the Brighton Pavilion which is a short walk from the Pier.  

Cambridge 

As one of England’s smallest cities. Cambridge is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Southeast of England. Home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, and situated only 45 minutes away from the center of London it’s the perfect day trip outside of London. Be sure to check out the amazing river Cam. 

Bath 

One of the most beautiful cities in the Southeast of England and the biggest in Somerset. Bath is filled with gorgeous Georgian buildings and has a rich history well known for its Roman baths and Thermae bath spa. A bath is a must-see place.

Bournemouth 

Bournemouth Is a coastal town on the South coast of England. It is also home to several churches and religious centers in a variety of architectural styles. It’s no surprise that Bournemouth has a rich history that is centered around literary inspiration and the medicinal benefits of the sea air. Bournemouth also boosts 2000 acres of parks and gardens. Though further to travel at over 2 hours via train it is definitely one of the South of England great places to visit.
